Ora B. Douglass Scholarship
Scholarship Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the Ora B. Douglass Scholarship, all applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a current high school senior graduating in Spring 2026
- Must reside in the Metropolitan Atlanta area
- Must be planning to matriculate at an accredited college or university in Fall 2026
- Must submit a completed application by May 1, 2026
Must provide:
- A copy of your college acceptance letter to the school you plan to attend in the 2026-2027 school year.
- High school transcript to include Fall 2025.
- A copy of your high school transcript that includes your Fall 2025 grades.
- Three (3) letters of recommendation from your current principal/counselor, a faculty member, and a non-family member.
- A minimum of 300-word typed essay on “Why continuing my education is important to me and how this scholarship will help me to achieve my future goals."
Completed application materials must be sent no later than midnight Friday, May 1, 2026, to Ms. Hattie Best at: scholarships@georgiapearlsofservice.org
