Welcome to the Georgia Pearls of Service Foundation, Inc. (GPOS) website! We're so pleased that you've visited our website. Here you will find information about who we are; what we do, and how you can help.
Georgia Pearls of Service Foundation, Inc. (GPOS) was established in 2015 to address community and global needs through local programs. Though based in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, the reach of our good works extends beyond those borders, reaching the broader communities of Gwinnett, DeKalb and Fulton Counties.
GPOS works every day to serve the community by making donations to organizations that share our philanthropic values, awarding college scholarships to deserving high school students, and delivering transformative programs targeting homelessness and childhood hunger.
Your support of GPOS will entitle you to a charitable tax deduction; GPOS is a tax-exempt nonprofit entity under the 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code.
Check out the feature article on GPOS in the November issue of South Gwinnett Magazine, Party with a Purpose. Learn more about the organization and our 2022 fundraising event, "A Kaptivating Affair", a New Year's Eve Masquerade Ball.
GPOS is now accepting applications for the 2023 Ora B. Douglass Scholarship. This scholarship was established in honor of the President of GPOS, Mrs. Ora Barber Douglass. Mrs. Douglass is a true visionary and trailblazer who has made extraordinary contributions to the community and its youth. GPOS has provided financial support to deserving high school seniors though this scholarship since 2015.
Download the 2023 Ora B. Douglass Scholarship Information flyer and Application for more details. Applications are due by April 15, 2023.
The important work GPOS does in the community would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors. We'd like to express our sincere gratitude for the companies and individuals who sponsored our signature New Year’s Eve fundraiser, “A Kaptivating Affair”. Because of you, GPOS will be able to make even greater advances in our service to the community.
Sponsorships were a vital element of the success of this fundraising event, with our giving theme of “Unmask the Face of Homelessness and Childhood Hunger”. Donations made possible by the over $40,000 raised were presented at the event to the Robert D. Fowler YMCA, H.O.P.E., Inc., and Peachtree Elementary School, organizations who also support these causes. Profit from the event will also be used to fund community service projects, outreach programs, and college scholarships in 2023.

GPOS is proud to invest in our youth by providing college scholarships to deserving high school students. Above are the 2021 Ora B. Douglass Scholarship recipients.
Our giving theme this year is “Unmask the Face of Homelessness and Childhood Hunger”. 100% of the profit from donations and sponsorships are used to fund relevant community service projects and outreach programs, and provide college scholarships to deserving high school students.
Homelessness and childhood hunger are not only issues for Third World countries and the inner city; they also plague suburban communities like those served by GPOS. Children facing hunger and homelessness may struggle in school and beyond. They are more likely to repeat a grade in elementary school, experience developmental delays, and have more social and behavioral problems. Programs that help to meet this need will have long-lasting positive impacts on these children, their families, and our communities as a whole.
